Understanding the Economic Impact of Medicaid Expansion
August 14, 2012 - August 16, 2012
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
As signed into law, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) expanded Medicaid to cover nearly 17 of the 32 million who stood to gain coverage. Join us as we discuss how to incorporate economic modeling to determine the net impacts on jobs, GDP and state budgets from both expanding coverage and finding money to pay for it. We will present a framework for how states can begin to develop substantive information to support a decision that is in their best interest.
