We invite you to attend “Trumponomics: Policy Implications for Vermont” on February 17, 2017, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, in Montpelier, Vermont.
The Trump administration is expected to dramatically change the direction of public policy on the federal level; this could have dramatic effects on Vermont’s economy and policies at the state and local level.
The president-elect and the Republican-controlled Congress could shake up the status quo in tax policy, energy and the environment, labor policy, health care, and transportation/infrastructure. These changes will have major implications for state policies, as shifts in federal policy create challenges and opportunities for state and local decision-makers.
For this luncheon, we will explore the policy direction of the next administration and what it means for Vermont. We will show economic impact analysis for a broad range of policies using REMI models: PI+, Tax-PI, and TranSight. The use of economic models will give states better insight into impacts of federal decisions and implications for how states can respond.
Lunch will be provided at no charge, although we ask that you register in advance. If you would like to attend this event, please email Brian Boyd at firstname.lastname@example.org, contact us by phone at (413) 549-1169, or fill out the form below to register online.
