How Do Looming Federal Budget Cuts Impact Your State's Economy?

This month, REMI will examine the impact of federal budget sequestration on regional economies. While these cuts are not certain, analysts should be aware of states’ differences in exposure and potential impacts. Specifically, we will discuss two of the largest automatic cuts: defense and state and local programs. We will use the REMI PI⁺ model to evaluate the impact of decreasing funding to related industries
