Inspired by the recent budget proposal, we will examine how federal spending contributes to job creation in the short- and long-term. This presentation will use REMI PI+ to simulate several different policy scenarios that have vastly different implications for creating sustainable growth.
This presentation will explore the technical capabilities of TranSight to address the economic impacts of our nation’s long-term transit goals. We will focus on evaluating projects at the regional level based on their long-term return and job creation given the regional differences.
In the current economic climate, state and local governments are under a tremendous strain to retain revenue and stave off budget shortfalls. Among those programs at risk of reduced funding is higher education. In this presentation, we will use REMI’s dynamic model to analyze the economic contribution of higher education to demonstrate a state’s economic dependence upon higher education and, more specifically, its graduates.
This casino development scenario will evaluate the economic and fiscal impacts on a regional economy using the REMI PI+ model. The PI+ model provides dynamic economic and fiscal impacts which include outputs such as gross regional product, employment, and fiscal revenues/expenditures from a casino development project. Furthermore, this example will provide insight on how these indicators are interrelated.
