Outside Sales/Software Sales:

The role of the Software Sales Associate is to seek out and engage with prospective clients to expand the market share of REMI’s leading economic analysis software, PI+ and TranSight. The successful candidate will work closely with potential clients and REMI staff to achieve sales goals for the company. The qualified individual should have 3+ years of proven sales experience and possess an entrepreneurial spirit, must also have experience in following-up leads, promoting, marketing and demonstrating software to potential clients. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be comfortable with face to face and telephone sales. The person should be a good sales problem solver with the ability to pay attention to detail and moves the sales process forward. The position will include but not limited to:
• Call potential clients
• Participate in sales meeting
• Attend Conferences
• Search for new leads
• Strive to improve sales ability and work habits
• Meet defined sales goals
• Follow-up on client requests
• Extensive travel (at least 50%)
The compensation includes a base salary, discretionary bonus and profit sharing along with a good employee benefits package.

The role of the Inside Sales Associate is to call and follow-up on prospective clients. The successful candidate will work closely with our business development staff to increase the number of attendees in our seminars and to identify potential sales leads. The qualified individual should have 1+ years of proven inside sales experience and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. The candidate must also have experience in following-up leads, promoting and marketing. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be comfortable with telephone sales and delivering presentations in a group setting. The person should be a good problem solver with the ability to pay attention to detail and moves our seminars and sales process forward. The position will include but not limited to:
• 60+ calls per day
• Online demonstration of our product
• Ability to work with business development
• Tracking leads and provide proper follow-up

Associate Economist/ Business Development:

As an Associate Economist, your duties will include:
- Developing modeling strategies for current clients
- Planning and conducting seminars on policy analysis
- Exploring opportunities to develop analysis tools and to enter new markets
- Traveling to present REMI applications and services
Initial tasks will involve assisting in business development and marketing efforts while familiarizing themselves with REMI's impact analysis tools. Economists will move on to assume independent responsibilities primarily focused on developing business across the US. Throughout the process, you will work closely with a senior executive. The economist's role involves significant multi-tasking and you will develop a comprehensive skill set including economic modeling, strategic planning and client communication.
REMI entrusts its economists with a high level of responsibility early in their careers and offers them the opportunity to present to senior government officials, network with departmental chairs at top academic institutions and develop close contacts within the field of economic consulting.
Qualifications
Candidates are expected to have a minimum of one a master’s degree and/or 2 years experience in economics. Candidates must have an excellent academic record, good writing skills, and a strong proficiency in the use of computers. The successful candidate will be a motivated, responsible individual who can work well with others with little direct supervision. Because much of our work involves direct client contact, strong presentation and interpersonal skills are a must. -

REMI, developer of the world’s leading regional economic policy analysis models, is currently in the process of expanding its business operations. We are seeking a Ph.D. economist to work with our development team to develop and implement models for national and regional economies in the U.S. and internationally. The research economist will
- Conduct empirical studies for a wide range of economic and demographic topics,
- Work with national accounts and input-output tables for the U.S. and international economies,
- Implement model equations as part of our economic model development.
The ideal candidate will have experience in national accounts, input-output, econometrics, and the new economic geography. He/she will have solid communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
The research economist must also have strong technical presentation and writing skills. Domestic and international travel is required. -

The ideal candidate will carry responsibilities focused on developing business leads within the Washington DC metro area as well as within the United States.
