Educational institutions are among some of the most affected by the pandemic’s disruption of normal activity as the entire system has been subjected to numerous changes and new regulations over the course of the last year.

To better understand how vital education is to the economy, REMI Managing Economic Associate Chris Judson will be hosting a special guest webinar, “Exploring the Economic Impact of the Education System,” on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. (ET).

This upcoming presentation will evaluate the economic contributions of universities and analyze the importance of various investments in the labor sector.

The guest speakers for this upcoming discussion will be Stephen Miller, Ph.D., Professor and Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, and Jinju Lee, Economic Analyst, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). We will also be joined by Yolunda Nabors, Senior Lecturer at Tennessee Technological University, and REMI Economic Analyst Tobias Reynolds for this explanation of how education influences regional economic development.
