Associate I

REMI (Regional Economic Models, Inc.) is seeking entry-level associates to join its business development and client-facing team. The successful candidate will work with our team to extend our client network and develop new business opportunities.

Associate I’s are eligible to apply for salaried Associate positions once they have demonstrated competence in ability to set meetings (5-10/week); to lead REMI sales presentations; and have proficiency in our CRM database, Business Development Dashboard, and Microsoft Teams.

The role of Associate I includes:

  • Phone and email outreach to schedule meetings with prospective clients
  • Present pitch-deck on REMI models in business meetings
  • Engage with professionals in analytic and decision-making roles
  • Follow-through on sales leads
  • Develop knowledge of economic modeling use and applications
  • Present webinars on policy topics
  • Training for proficiency in our CRM database, Business Development Dashboard, and Microsoft Teams

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a team environment to ensure a high degree of accuracy and follow through. Other duties include helping with additional administrative functions as needed.

Economic Analyst

Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) is seeking an Economic Analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will work with multiple departments to assist with consulting projects and provide responsive client support on modeling best practices.

Ideal candidates for this position will be motivated to:
• Collaborate with various organizations and all levels of government on their respective projects or reports
• Research, data collection, and estimation related to U.S. and international demographics
• Prepare materials and modeling simulations for upcoming REMI presentations
• Work with management, programmers, and economists to implement new and expanded features into REMI’s economic models
• Macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis, technical writing, econometrics, and economic modeling

Candidate requirements include:
• Master’s Degree in Economics
• Experience in economic research related to regional economics and economic impact study
• Strong statistical skills and experience analyzing large economic and demographic datasets
• Experience in developing economic models using advanced econometric methodologies
• Experience with working with statistical software applications, such as Stata, SAS, R, etc.
• Experience in writing research reports and academic papers

Economist

REMI (Regional Economic Models, Inc.) is seeking a talented economic Ph.D. to join its consulting and business development teams. The successful candidate will work with our team to extend client network and attract additional REMI model use. REMI provides the nation’s leading regional economic forecasting and policy analysis models (PI+, TranSight, Tax-PI, E3+). In this position, you will work side-by-side with REMI’s Chief Economist and CEO, Senior Vice President, and other senior staff members, learning both consultation and business development.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate intellectually rigorous economic research, strong communications skills, and a passion for informing public policy decisions through research-based analysis. At a time of political uncertainty and discord, policy makers stand to benefit from sound, nonpartisan economic analysis. We are working on state and national analysis of issues such as: economic development, tax reform, trade policy, energy efficiency tax credits, transportation investments, and health care policy.
