REMI is excited to announce a new webinar titled, “Economic Impacts of Sports Team Expansion.” It will be held on June 10th from 2:00-3:00pm ET.
Professional sport leagues across the United States are expanding their reach into new cities. A new team can bring high-level competition to a city, uniting the population through sports. Along with this, sporting teams bring major economic stimulus, including impacts on tourism, local business, construction, and more. Measuring these economic impacts is important to stakeholders.
In this webinar, REMI will demonstrate how REMI PROSERIS and our core models can be used to quantify the economic impacts of sporting team relocations and expansion. This webinar will cover the impacts of long-term employment, disposable income, gross regional product, and more. Attendees will learn how to properly model construction and operations phases, tourism impacts, public finance, and more to see how the regional economy can be affected.
