Populist ideas have captured the hearts and minds of voters. Simplistic policies—from the left and the right—offer easy solutions to complex issues and policies. Rather than reject these ideas offhand, we suggest that populist proposals can be a source of policy innovation.
Economic analysis can serve the role of evaluating policies in a rigorous framework, which may lead to new approaches to policy problems that are assessed in a simulation context.
Please join Economic Associate Jamie Neville for a luncheon presentation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. titled “Populism, Policy Analysis and the Economy.”
Also covered are the key policy issues and topics following the 2018 election—tax and budgeting, transportation, economic development, energy/environment. Participants will gain insight into the economic, demographic, and fiscal implications of policy proposals.
We’re offering this event free of charge; however, we do ask that you register in advance. If you would like to attend this event, please email Brian Boyd at email@example.com, contact us by phone at (413) 549-1169, or fill out the registration page for this event.REGISTER FOR THIS LUNCHEON [menu_3_description] => Array (  => Array ( [speakers_name] => Jamie Neville [speakers_designation] => REMI [speakers_image] => Array ( [ID] => 5196 [id] => 5196 [title] => Jamie Neville [filename] => Jamie-Neville-e1544024826448.jpg [filesize] => 28537 [url] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-e1544024826448.jpg [link] => https://www.remi.com/events-site/little-rock-ar-luncheon/jamie-neville/ [alt] => [author] => 1 [description] => [caption] => [name] => jamie-neville [status] => inherit [uploaded_to] => 4942 [date] => 2018-12-05 15:17:00 [modified] => 2018-12-05 15:48:21 [menu_order] => 0 [mime_type] => image/jpeg [type] => image [subtype] => jpeg [icon] => https://www.remi.com/wp-includes/images/media/default.png [width] => 275 [height] => 367 [sizes] => Array ( [thumbnail] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-150x150.jpg [thumbnail-width] => 150 [thumbnail-height] => 150 [medium] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-225x300.jpg [medium-width] => 225 [medium-height] => 300 [medium_large] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-768x1024.jpg [medium_large-width] => 768 [medium_large-height] => 1024 [large] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-768x1024.jpg [large-width] => 768 [large-height] => 1024 [1536x1536] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-e1544024826448.jpg [1536x1536-width] => 275 [1536x1536-height] => 367 [2048x2048] => https://www.remi.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Jamie-Neville-e1544024826448.jpg [2048x2048-width] => 275 [2048x2048-height] => 367 ) ) [speakers_description] =>
