[Slides]Tax Policy- New Ideas and State-Level Impacts of TCJA – Peter Evangelakis, REMI
Shifts in federal policy can produce downstream impacts on state governments and local economies, requiring officials close to home to respond.
REMI cordially invites you to join Senior Economist Peter Evangelakis, Ph.D. and Economic Associate Kyle Compton for our luncheon event on Thursday, May 9th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. titled “Think Local: Federal Policies & State Impacts,” which will be held at the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.
During this luncheon, Dr. Evangelakis and Mr. Compton will examine federal policy direction and what it means for Wyoming. They will explore the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, as well as other competing ideas for tax policy, and consider the economic and fiscal implications for the state. They will also discuss energy policy and how to prepare for future changes in the industry affecting the national, state, and local levels.
We’re offering this event free of charge; however, we do ask that you register in advance. If you would like to attend this event, please email Brian Boyd at brian.boyd@wp.remi.com, contact us by phone at (413) 549-1169, or fill out the registration page for this event.
