UPDATE: Due to the high level of interest in this topic, we are adding a second event to accommodate all those who wish to attend.
Registration is closed for our 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. luncheon at the Metro Center.
We are now accepting registrations for our 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. presentation of “The Green New Deal: The Role of Analysis” that will be held at the American Gas Association’s office on 400 N. Capitol St. NW, Suite 450 in Washington, D.C., 20001.
The Green New Deal presents a number of ambitious goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing environmental and social challenges, but rigorous economic analysis is required to understand the impact of these proposals.
You are invited to this month’s Washington, D.C. presentation, “The Green New Deal: The Role of Analysis,” that will be hosted by Chief Economist and CEO Frederick Treyz, Ph.D. and Senior Economist Peter Evangelakis, Ph.D. on Thursday, May 30th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
For this presentation, Dr. Treyz and Dr. Evangelakis will review the major points of the proposed Congressional resolution and establish the national- and state-level political context.
They will also consider different policies that could advance the Green New Deal’s goals – such as carbon taxes and promotion of hybrid cars – and discuss how to use dynamic economic analysis to assess these ideas.
We’re offering this event free of charge; however, we do ask that you register in advance. If you would like to attend this event, please email Kendell Sweeney-Thomas at Kendell.Sweeney-Thomas@wp.remi.com, contact us by phone at (413) 549-1169, or fill out the registration page for this event.
